Our Mission & Vision
Boombalee Kidz is located in Wollongong and was inhabited by the Dharawal Indigenous Australians. Each day the children and educators show respect to
traditional custodians of these land, through our acknowledgment of country.
Here at Boombalee Kidz we strongly believe that the first 5 years of
a child’s life are the most valuable in scaffolding their developmental milestones and skills. Learning is constantly happening and is interwoven through all developmental domains.
Five years is a brief window of opportunity to guide children and encourage them to expand their knowledge of both themselves and the world around them. Our mission is to offer parents a stress-free choice and ensure that they don’t have to worry after they drop their child off at our centre. We meet special requests and always treat each child as an individual.

Shannon Love
Nominated Supervisor
My name is Shannon Love. I am the Nominated Supervisor at Boombalee Kidz in Wollongong. I began my career in early education at Boombalee Kidz in 2011 as a trainee – studying towards my Certificate III in children’s service. During my 7 years at Boombalee I went on to complete my Diploma and then finished my Degree in Early Childhood Education.
After 2 years away from Kidz Childcare I was eager to return as the nominated supervisor of Boombalee kidz as this was where my love and passion for the early years education blossomed; it is where I learnt to be the educator I am today. As an educator I am passionate about implementing a creative and child focused curriculum. One of my favourite parts of being an early childhood educator is the connections you make with children and families, every day is rewarding!
Acknowledgement To Country
We acknowledge the Dharawal people as the traditional custodians of the land on which Wollongong resides. We acknowledge the Elders past, present and emerging. We would like to acknowledge the Wodi Wodi people who are a part of the Dharawal Nation where Wollongong is located today. We extend a warm welcome to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and we pay our respect to their ongoing connection to land and community.
